jet 2 ton chain hoist

Buyers often arrive with a jet 2 ton chain hoist style search and still need to choose electric, manual or air. This page treats those power paths as buyer options. It does not rank a winner and it does not claim an authorized relationship with any third-party brand.

What must stay open until utilities are written

A nameplate two-ton rating does not decide power. Duty cycle, lifts per hour, available voltage or shop air working pressure, and the remaining headroom decide whether an electric chain hoist, a manual chain hoist or an air hoist even belongs on the comparable line.

Buyer input Electric option Manual option Air option
Utility Voltage, phase, frequency No plant power required Shop air working pressure
Duty cycle State lifts per hour Low-frequency lifts State air quality and duty
Geometry Lift height and hook path Lift height and hook path Lift height and hook path
Still unverified Factory FPM and enclosure Hand-chain length Air consumption

If a factory offers an alternative to a jet 2 ton chain hoist style listing, verify rated capacity, lift units, suspension and documents on that alternative before accepting it. A different model series is not proof of fit. Continue with 20 lift inquiry options when the lift distance is already known.

Electric versus manual is an application choice, not a ranking. Frequent lifts and a documented three-phase supply point toward an electric line. Infrequent lifts with no plant power point toward a manual line. Available shop air with a stated working pressure can keep an air hoist on the same brief as a labeled option. None of those paths is the winner until duty cycle, remaining headroom and excluded site work are written.

Nameplate capacity versus application load is a second split. An offset fixture changes load center even when the hook is still called two tons. Ask factories to quote the same capacity basis, lift height and duty class language. Equipment price versus installed cost is a third split: freight, pit work, anchors and commissioning stay outside a machine-only reply unless the RFQ asked for them.
